Dedicated and knowledgeable tutors who took the time and effort to understand our challenges and difficulties in grasping the concepts. Inspired to learn more about EBM. Thank you!
Evidence-based medicine (EBM) is ” … the conscientious, explicit and judicious use of current best evidence in making decisions
about the care of individual patients … “[1].
The practise of clinical care using EBM requires rigorous training. The Asian EBM Centre (“AEBMC”) brings together Singapore’s most experienced EBM Trainers and Curriculum Developers to deliver high quality EBM workshops to the same standards previously offered here. AEBMC will continue to hold small group teaching (fewer than 15 per class room) and two (2) EBM trained facilitators for each group.
Evidence based medicine is the conscientious, explicit, and judicious use of current best evidence in making decisions about the care of individual patients.

I like the part where they taught us to interpret the result – ie brought us through the results/tabulation and interpret it
Thank you, Prof Ooi, and Dr See for your time and expertise over the past few days. I’m impressed that you were able to answer queries on the fly, and with such clarity. I appreciate the time and effort put into preparation of the resources and running the entire workshop!
Thank you for the patience in explaining the various concepts and ensuring that we understand them!
Good interactive session to allow adequate time for questions and answers. Also good explanation from the speakers.
I appreciate how both our facilitators were patient in addressing the many queries that myself and my group had and how some challenging or contentious concepts were explained in simpler terms to aid our understanding
Course was very good, met its objectives, and our tutors Prof Chan and Dr Tiah were very good!
Made complicated concepts clear and really improved my understanding on EBM 🙂 Approachable and very willing to answer our questions. Thank you!
Facilitators took the time to explain and clarify concepts in detail which was very helpful, especially in preparation for the exam.
Excellent session! i’ve never done ebm on prognosis and harm before, but it was very clearly and patiently explained. Would 100% reccomend to anyone taking ebm as part of exits 🙂
I like the pace and am enjoying the use of google sheets, together with the whiteboard. like the what the key concepts are being illustrated and explained.
Breakout groups was good, as allowed for discussion for us to clarify doubts
I think that the white board and google powerpoints are very useful because it helps me build understanding from scratch and follow the thought process of our tutors better.
